READY, SET … GET ORGANIZED!

As a mother of twin boys and an interior designer I CRAVE hip, functional and innovative organization.  I dream of an amazing, big, and functional mudroom with lots of open and closed storage possibilities but our cute little 1940’s bungalow will have to suffice for now. Because of my limited storage I am always on the hunt for other unique organizational storage ideas. With the upcoming school year in the forecast I have backpacks, boots and books on my mind with some cool storage ideas to share! Whether you home-school or not, organization is a must! Now is the time to get your kids’ spaces in order at home!

Most experts agree that an organized child is more productive and has a greater chance for success. Furniture, color palettes, lighting and scale can all affect a child’s mood and sense of comfort and it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg! So what are you waiting for … ready, set … organize!

I’ve broken down a few of my favorite ways to organize:

Being organized makes life around the house run much smoother. We all need structure and having places for all our “stuff” helps out in this process.

In addition to organizing school stuff I also plan to organize my essential oils! Besides working as an interior designer I am passionate about holistic health and I teach classes on essential oils. I have found so many uses for these oils. Preventative healthcare, headaches, tummy aches, cuts, bruises, rashes, sleep and many more household uses (DIY cleaning products)! I truly believe they are a must for any family especially at the beginning of the school year. Essential oils are just that, essential! I tend to keep oils all over my house as I use them for so many different things. Organizing and stocking up on oils is definitely on my back to school list as well.
